While there are derivates like "Gnoppix" around, which use the Knoppix hardware detection engine merely for supporting their favorite desktop system, KNOPPIX, the download edition, by default uses KDE and some of its features for most of the usability gimmicks on the desktop.
This talk shows a few KDE-related features that have been in KNOPPIX for quite a while, and now have been (much to the surprise of the Knoppix author, and way better done) showing up in KDE 3.2. Questions or deep thoughts about which is the best desktop or window manager are welcome for the discussion part at the end of the talk.
