While KDE is undeniably a large project, there are still some very useful tasks that can be done without needing to be fully conversant with a large code base. This talk will provide an introduction to developing small plug-ins that can improve the user experience.

The main part of the talk will be about developing KFile meta-data plug-ins, based on a tutorial by Brad, with a quick overview of KImgIO plug-ins towards the end of the talk.

The talk will be targeted at less experienced developers, and those who are looking at getting started in KDE with a smaller project.
